JavaScript Introduction

JavaScript Introduction

JavaScript is one of the most popular programming languages on the planet. It is a full-stack programming language. Over 97% of websites use JavaScript on the client side for web page behavior, often incorporating third-party libraries like jQuery, react, etc.

Further Explanation:-

JavaScript must be written within the script tag.

It is a high-level, often just-in-time compiled language that conforms to the ECMAScript standard. It has dynamic typing, prototype-based object orientation, and first-class functions. It is a multi-paradigm, supporting event-driven, functional, and imperative programming styles. It has application programming interfaces (APIs) for working with text, dates, regular expressions, standard data structures, and the Document Object Model (DOM). The ECMAScript standard does not include any input/output (I/O), such as networking, storage, or graphics facilities. In practice, the web browser or other runtime system provides JavaScript APIs for I/O.

Unique properties of JavaScript are:-

  • Full integration with HTML/CSS.
  • Simple things are done simply.
  • Supported by all major browsers and enabled by default.

Some Functions in JavaScript:-

document.write() allow the user to override everything on the webpage and rewrite some other things on the webpage. Similarly, we can use console.log() to see errors in our console.
