Style overflow Property
The overflow property is used to either set or return what to do with content that renders outside the element box. For hiding it on the whole body, we have to use it on the body or html element.
Syntax:-
Its syntax is:- object.style.overflow OR object.style.overflow = visible | hidden | scroll | auto | initial | inherit
Return:-
Its return is:- string having content that renders outside the element box

Value | Description |
---|---|
visible | Content is not clipped and may be shown outside element box. |
hidden | Content outside element box is not shown. |
scroll | Scroll bars are added, and content is clipped when necessary. |
auto | Content is clipped and scroll bars are added when necessary. |
initial | Sets property to its default value. |
inherit | Inherits property from its parent element. |
