JavaScript Window opener Property
The opener property is used to return a reference to the window that created the window. In other words, if window aa opens window bb, then bb.opener returns aa. In other words, aa will be referenced window for bb. We can also close the reference window aa by using bb.opener.close() which closes window aa.
