The cookie property is used for either setting or returning document cookies. It will return the cookie in the form of a semicolon-separated list in key=value pairs.

Value Description
newCookie

expires=date
A date in GMT format.

max-age=seconds
The max age before the cookie is deleted.

path=path
An absoulute path to the directory the cookie belongs to.

domain=domainname
The domain of the site.

secure
Use a secure protocol for sending the cookie to the server.
